For MS Awareness Month, we wanted to highlight the different challenges people with MS face. In the US, there are nearly 1 million people living with multiple sclerosis (MS). MS can cause many symptoms, and it varies from person to person. Some people may have physical symptoms, while others may suffer from cognitive or "invisible" symptoms. No two people are the same.
MS is Personal
A campaign for MS Awareness Month.
THE SITUATION
THE CAMPAIGN
We knew that people in the MS community were actively discussing topics like health equity, personal growth, and finding support. To celebrate the variety of people who have MS or who have been impacted by it, and to bring these important topics to the forefront, we interviewed 6 people from around the country.
We created a series of 5 videos, a unique landing page on AboveMS.com, and a series of social posts. Because of COVID-19 implications, planning an in-person shoot was not possible. Instead, we sent at-home filming kits to all 6 people to do a fully remote, interactive shoot. Over 2 days, we filmed their authentic and honest conversations.
MY ROLE
For the videos, I was the lead writer and played a crucial role in the planning and strategy portion of this project. I developed the content outlines, met with the talent prior to the shoot, and lead the interviews for each video. For the social posts, I ideated and wrote the content.
